Polish experts will help search for the best way to preserve Gediminas Hill2017-06-19
A delegation of Polish experts – professionals in the areas of hydrogeology, hydrotechnology and geology – presently on its visit in Vilnius at the request of the Lithuanian Geological Survey under the Ministry of Environment will help in the search for the most appropriate solution for strengthening the slopes of Gediminas Hill, which are in a critical condition.
Today, the guests visited the hill and will become familiarised with its research and management projects during a presentation to be held at the National Museum of Lithuania. The Polish experts will again go up Gediminas Hill tomorrow. This time, they will be accompanied by Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, Minister of Environment Kęstutis Navickas and Minister of Culture Liana Ruokytė-Jonsson as well as media representatives.
The Polish professionals will present their proposals on Wednesday and will discuss them with experts from our country.
