Minister of Environment discusses possibilities for cooperation with Israeli Ambassador2017-01-16
Today, Minister of Environment Kęstutis Navickas has received Israeli Ambassador Amir Maimon on an official visit to Lithuania.
During the meeting, the Ambassador gave a presentation of the Israeli environmental system, its problems and management features.
The Minister of Environment and the Israeli Ambassador discussed the possibility of organising an event for the planting of a forest that would symbolise the community of the Israeli and Lithuanian people. The planting of this historic forest is planned for spring.
K. Navickas also supported A. Maimon’s proposal that the sites of the Jewish genocide should feature not only monuments but also commemorative plaques with the names of the victims.
