Regularly updated map shows the extent of renovation

2014-06-09

The Ministry of Environment has posted a map on its website (renovacija.am.lt) to show the process of renovation in the country. It will serve as reference of how renovation is progressing in specific municipalities, how residents look upon this process, how many investment plans have been developed and approved, etc.

“Our aim is to ensure maximum fluency of the renovation process and fast and convenient access for residents to the required information. With the new map the relevant information will be available at the touch of just a few buttons. It will be clear, attractive and regularly updated,” the vice-minister for Environment, Daiva Matonienė, said.

The information in the map is broken down into seven sub-themes. Two of them show the number of plans that have been developed and the ones that have been then coordinated in a specific region. The map separately displays how residents and financial institutions favour renovation and the funding of developed projects and shows the number of tenders called for construction operations, the amount of work started and in which locations as well as the number of projects completed. Municipalities demonstrating more intensive and proactive involvement in the renovation process are marked in a darker colour while those on a more passive side in a lighter one.

Users can also access structured information for each municipality by selecting the relevant region on the map. For example, if you select the Tauragė district municipality, you will learn that it has 16 investment plans developed and coordinated, its residents have favoured 15 while financial institutions 13 projects, 11 tenders initiated and two construction projects started.

To ensure that residents have access to the latest figures, the map will be updated on a weekly basis.

The map is available on: renovacija.am.lt
