Climate Change Special Programme

Greening projects

2014-04-10

Grants to greening projects implemented in Lithuania have been provided according to the Manual on the Usage of the Funds of Climate Change Special Programme, adopted by the order of the Minister of Environment dated 6th April 2010, No. D1-275.

The agency in charge of the announcement of calls for the submission of project applications, their reception and evaluation, monitoring of project implementation and disbursement of grants to beneficiaries is Lithuanian Environmental Investment Fund (LAAIF).

The funds of the Climate Change Special Programme have also been used for subsidising projects of apartment-building renovation (25% of expenses, given the achievement of a required reduction of energy consumption). 

Implementation of these projects is managed by the Housing Energy Efficiency Agency (BETA).
