Over LTL 75 million already paid to environmental project operators this year
2012-04-04In the first quarter of this year, the Environmental Project Management Agency of the Ministry of Environment (EPMA) paid LTL 75.5 million to project operators, thus fulfilling its quarterly plan 103%. According to EPMA Director Kastytis Tuminas, the value of signed contracts financed from the EU structural funds grew to LTL 2.9 billion over this period.
Some of the largest projects to be implemented under the contracts signed in the first quarter are water management and water treatment projects. Their implementation will help to modernise and expand the water supply and waste water management infrastructure in Raseiniai, Lazdijai, Šakiai and Radviliškis districts.
