Infostatyba – a Shield Against Corruption2008-06-03
Information system of construction permit and state monitoring of construction activities “Infostatyba” will be presented at the Environment Ministry’s Grand Hall (Jakšto g. 4/9, storey 5) at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3. The new system will be launched by Environment Minister Artūras Paulauskas. Detailed presentation will be made by Laura Nalivaikienė, the head of the State Inspectorate of Territorial Planning and Construction, and Sintagma UAB director general Albertas Šermokas.
The presentation will include a demonstration how a user connected to the new online system may fill out an application for construction permit and receives a confirmation from a relevant institution. Infostatyba will allow users save time and avoid bureaucratic obstacles, also providing an opportunity for people to manage scores of construction-related matters from their home: fill out applications at any municipality of the country, receive a digest of design conditions, a construction permit, certificates and other necessary documentation, as well as observe the course of preparation.
The course of preparation of requested documentation will also be controlled by the administration of relevant public administration body and state construction inspectorate. As the entire process of the service from presentation of application to provision of service will be publicly accessible, it will prevent possible corruption.
