Functions of Relevant Parties of Environmental Impact Assessment
Environmental impact assessment entities shall be public and municipal authorities that analyse environmental impact assessment (hereinafter referred to as the EIA) programmes and reports and that provide (within the scope of their competence) conclusions on programmes, reports and opportunities of planned economic activities.
In general, a legal ground governing the performance of the functions by EIA entities is the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Environmental Impact Assessment of Planned Economic Activities (Official Gazette, No. 82-1965, 1996; No. 84-3105, 2005).
EIA entities: Health care authority, Fire protection authority, Cultural heritage protection authority, Local municipal authority
