Dalius Krinickas is the new Vice-Minister of the Environment2017-10-26
Dalius Krinickas, which headed the Waste Department of the Ministry of the Environment, starts work at a Vice-Minister of the Environment today. He replaces Mindaugas Gudas and will be responsible for the waste management, water and pollution prevention sectors.
Mr. Krinickas has been working for the Ministry of the Environment since 2004. Prior to becoming director of the Waste Department, he headed the Water Department for five years. According to Minister of the Environment Kęstutis Navickas, the new vice-minister boasts a vast expertise in the respective fields and is able to appropriately manage the complex and problematic fields entrusted to him.
The minister hopes that Mr. Krinickas will put all effort to strengthen the state control over environmental protection, improve the transparency and efficiency of the waste management system, reduce the administrative load on businesses, improve the condition of water bodies, and create legal and financial conditions for the population to connect to the centralised wastewater networks.
