2017-08-28

The Lithuanian pavilion now ranks among TOP 20 of pavilions, and is ready to compete for the public sympathy at the EXPO 2017 exhibition, currently held in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. The winners will be decided by internet users. You can contribute to the success of our national pavilion by voting at http://www.exhibitoronline.com/awards/expo/peoplesChoice-vote.asp. One vote is accepted from the same computer per day. The voting will close on the 31st of August.

EXPO 2017 exhibition lists 115 countries and 22 international organisations among its participants. Besides Lithuania, the following countries have made it to the TOP 20: US, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Malaysia, South Korea, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Pakistan, Monaco, Thailand, Singapore, Israel, Qatar, Switzerland, Belarus and the Netherlands.

Romas Jankauskas, the head of the Exhibitions Division at the Ministry of the Environment, as well as the commissioner for the Lithuanian exhibition, says “What brings me special joy is that we have made it to the list of contenders, which has proved too challenging a task for some other countries, including China, Japan, or India”. Lithuanian national exposition was installed in view of the main motive of EXPO 2017, i.e. future energy. The project, designed by architect Martynas Valevičius offers visitors a chance to discover laser core.

A widely recognised Exhibitor magazine is running, for the fourth time now, election of the most popular and best pavilions at international EXPO exhibitions. The magazine will shortly announce decisions also on winners of other nominations, including the best pavilion, the best exterior, the best small pavilion, the best interpretation of the topic, the best interactive activity, the best presentation, the best application of technologies and the most intriguing application of components. A panel of experts with global reputation will decide on the laureates of the Exhibitor awards.
